Our Story
In 1998, three partners came together and created Ground Effects Landscaping. What started as a landscaping operation quickly grew into something bigger.
By 2001, the company had evolved. Ground Effects Landscaping became GFX Site Development, Inc. — transitioning from landscaping into full construction. Masonry, concrete, flatwork, residential builds. The crew grew, the equipment grew, and the reputation grew with it.
In recent years, GFX has taken a major turn into public works — earning the trust of over 17 school districts and municipal and federal agencies across Westchester County and the greater New York metro area. Based in Port Chester, NY, the team combines deep local knowledge with the capacity to handle complex projects at any scale.

Ground Effects Landscaping

GFX Site Development is born
The company evolves from landscaping into construction. GFX Site Development, Inc. is incorporated, focusing on masonry, concrete, flatwork, and residential construction. The crew was tight — by 2002, the GFX - Ground Effects team won the Port Chester Men's Softball Tuesday Night League championship.
Growing the team
GFX builds a crew of skilled tradespeople across four disciplines — concrete, masonry, site work, and general contracting — and invests in its own fleet of heavy equipment.
Public works
GFX takes a major turn into public works, earning the trust of 17+ school districts and municipal and federal agencies across the New York metro area.
